Winter Activities - Tours & Rides
Dog Sledding
Take a breathtaking adventure through the snow on a dog sled. These magnificent Huskies will “mush” you through the backcountry scenery on a two-person sled. Dogsled tours are available in the morning and the afternoon in the Cordillera area west of Beaver Creek. Each tour lasts approximately two hours and is about seven miles long.
Tubing
Ride up to the top of Meadow Mountain on a lift, then tube down on a groomed run! Head out by yourself, or “chain” to other tubes for a fun family trip down the mountain. Afterwards, warm yourself with a cup of hot chocolate and a snack. The scenery is beautiful and the fun is not to be missed.
- Open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. everyday until January 9th, after that Thursday through Monday
- Last sign up is at 4:00 p.m., reservations are accepted
- Lift tickets $16.00 per person per hour
- Children must be 36" tall to ride their own tube
- Everyone must sign release wavier, parents must sign for minors
- Wear your ski clothes and don't forget the camera!
Ski Biking
Also known as Ski Bobbing or Snow Biking, this challenging sport combines skiing with biking. If you are looking for a new adventure, sign up for the nighttime guided tours down Vail Mountain. We recommend you are at least an intermediate level skier. Children must be at least 14 years old and 4’6” in height.
Snowcat Tours
Travel comfortably in an enclosed, heated two-track vehicle that maneuvers over the snow. Enjoy the beauty of the backcountry with majestic views of Colorado’s highest peaks and the Gore Range.
Winter Wildlife Tour
Enjoy a three-hour tour in a comfortable four-wheel drive vehicle while you view golden and bald eagles, snowshoe rabbits, mule deer and herds of trophy elk. Please contact the Concierge for additional information and reservations.
Sleigh Rides
Take an evening ride through the pristine, snow covered Rocky Mountains on a horse drawn sleigh. Please contact the Concierge for additional information and reservations.
Snow Mobiling
Venture out on half day or full day guided tours of groomed trails in the White River National Forest. Start out at 8,000 feet and climb to 10,500 feet for amazing views. Please contact the Concierge for additional information and reservations.
